Progress
I finished my ethonography about Edinboro McDonald's Workers about a week or two ago. That was a pretty easy paper to write. Since I worked there all the time, it was easy to observe everything that was going on. After I did my observation though, and about halfway through writing the paper, I quit working at McDonald's. I had had enough, and I figured a year was quite enough at a fast food place for me.
Since I was having trouble with the research paper due to the emotional issues with it, I made some progress. I have some finalizing to do, that was by far the hardest paper to write, just because it took so long.
The website that we had to make was to be based on one of our papers. I used the ethnography, since it was easy to organizer it into different sections. Using publisher was kind of frusterating, only because the steps were monotonous. I am almost finished with the website. All of the navigation is complete, as well as the written content. I just need to add some more graphics and it will be ready to upoad.

Interview for Ethnography
I will be interviewing at least three different people from McDonald's that work there. I will interview a manager, a person that works in the grill, and a person that has other duties. I will ask them specific questions about their duties, and what they think about their job.

Intro to paper
I will never forget the day I lost the most loving figure in my life. That day was like any other; I went to school thinking my mother had just stayed at her boyfriend's house and would return later that evening from work. I was sitting on the living room couch reading for my English class, and my twin brother was in his bedroom playing a computer game. All of a sudden, my sister came into our house with no warning, and behind her was a police officer and my mother's boyfriend, but no mother. I knew immediately something was wrong by the expressions on their faces. I quickly asked where my mother was. My sister held back tears and told me that her my mother's boyfriend had found her dead when he returned home from work. My mother had passed away in her sleep. I felt liek someone had dropped a bomb on top of my emotions. I was hysterical, and could not believe what I had heard. I ran back and forth screaming. Being sixteen years old, thoughts like "she will never get to see us graduate, or see her grandchildren," were scrambled through my mind. The loss of a mother, a friend, and a loved one to many was due to a sudden reaction to a medication a doctor had presribed just two days before. One prescription drug had taken a life. So, now I am determined to find ways to prevent death of anyone else, and help those who have gone through any situation like this.
